Biography

I was born in Southern California on Christmas Eve of 1980. I grew up in Carlsbad, a city few miles north of San Diego. As a child, I was fascinated by science and technology. I would always be taking apart my parents' electronics and trying to figure out how they worked. My imagination was also drawn early into books and film. My older brothers and I would catch the newest action, sci-fi, or horror matinees every weekend. These early childhood fascinations naturally developed into the desire to illustrate my own worlds and tell stories. In school, I met friends with mutual interest in design and art. With their advice and highest recommendation, it led me to attend the Art Center College of Design, majoring in transportation. Art Center's transportation curriculum was very intense and concentrated. There were many late nights spent thinking and analyzing designs, sketching, rendering, and building scaled models. Between school terms, I was able to begin working freelance for various video game companies. These jobs eventually led to more design work in video games and then expanded into commercials and advertising. During my last two terms of school, I decided to switch my focus from transportation to entertainment design. Immediately after graduating, I continued working on different television and video game projects in Los Angeles. At the end of 2005, I received the opportunity to join Lucasfilm Animation as a conceptual designer on the Clone Wars television show and film. Nearly four years later, I decided to relocate from the bay area to southern california to pursue other creative opportunies.

I enjoy the learning process and growing as an artist and individual.
